Taking a pet to a cattery or new location can be a very stressful experience for both pet and owner. We know this from first hand-experience with our current cat. By staying put, pets can continue to enjoy their homely comforts whilst still being lovingly cared for. PLUS - no need to dig out those vaccination booklets!

House chores completed
Tailor made visits mean we can carry out the tasks you really wish didn't stop whilst you are away. From closing and drawing curtains, turning on and off lights, putting out the bins, water plants, collecting up post and parcels or relaying answerphone messages! We can even leave you fresh milk for your return because we know how important that first cuppa is.

Hello there…
Welcome to Claws & Chores, a local business born from a desire to combine mum life with my love for furry friends. My name's Alice and I've lived in Helston and the surrounding area my whole life and have enjoyed the company of many a fluffy pal in my 30 years, including 6 cats, 7 guinea pigs and 2 gerbils.
Caring for small animals comes naturally... being trusted to look after family and friends pets for years, and I've spent 6 months volunteering at the local Cats Protection branch in Truro.
Previously working as a Senior Account Manager in a marketing agency, I love meeting new people and truly pride myself on being organised and trusted. Unfortunately, I was made redundant during my maternity leave as the company closed, however this only spurred me on to take the leap and start my own venture!
It's a generation thing! Whilst I will be running the business day to day and caring for your furry family members, I'll also be supported by my lovely dad, and of course my little baby girl!

Our cat has IBD which means she is often sick and sometimes has runny tummy. Alice didn't bat an eyelid and sorted out the couple of times she was sick. “ Alice is a lovely young woman and I felt very confident leaving my 2 cats and guinea pig in her care. One cat is diabetic and needs twice daily insulin injections - Alice was able to do this too. She sent photos and video each day to reassure us all was well at home with our pets. Did they miss us? With Alice caring for them, I don't think they did! I can thoroughly recommend Alice, she is professional, kind and caring. We will certainly ask her again when we next have a holiday.”
